Look into using a grey card to calibrate white balance.  If you're using a phone, the opencamera app supports this, and most if not all digital cameras do it as well.
Put the grey card into the frame, let it adjust automatically, and then find the control that locks the white balance (this might be called 'white balance lock' or 'auto white balance lock'.  Then you will decent colour.  I struggled with this until I got a grey card and got the app working to support it.
As for shiny sovs, try taking from a slight angle with the lighting behind a sheet of tracing paper.  You might need to use focus stacking if you're on a mobile as they have very shallow depth of focus.  Opencamera will also support this, and there are apps to compose the photos together.  Ironically, Opencamera does this better than the app that Sony ships for its cameras.
I like yellow sovs as well, and the satin finish is much easier to get good photos of.  Sadly, the legislation only mandates the gold content, although it would take about 2p worth of silver in the alloy to lift the colour up nicely - Victorian sovs were about 3 to 4 parts per thousand silver.
