Hi all, Haven't posted in a while. Here I have a wonderful 1805 Portuguese half escudos gold coin, it appears to be a metal detector find. With a mintage of only 3278 its a pretty rare coin. This type of coin commands strong prices. If this doesn't sell over the weekend I will be sending to NGC for conservation and grading. This is also an opportunity for a potential buyer as well. This coin weighs 1.84 grams which is over the true weight of the coin due to the debris included on the coin from the removal of the ground. References KM# 337 & Gomes# JR 28.
