When would you like your investment value to increase? Once you have bought all the gold you want?
It's best to see the money spent each time as a total amount invested in to a commodity which will hopefully see returns, rather than focus on the cost of individual items.
This is what happens when investing gets blurred with a hobby and interest.
No one worries about their pension rising with the stock market, they keep putting the monthly contributions in regardless.
Do the same with gold.

I think people are happy to see a profit on their stack, while hoping future purchases will also increase from when they bought them.
So if gold keeps rising, and we keep buying, our wealth keeps growing.
If the price never moved it would be a terrible way to save and Inflation would erode any gains given time.
So unless you are purely a collector who doesn't see gold as a way to save and invest or you are just starting out and have no stack, price rises are great

I suspect most of the sales were a result of me posting it on here! One of them may have already been sold in the US auctions, not sure.
If you look at what happened with the pig privy britannias (which were also produced for a pension fund), I wouldn't be surprised if these gold tenths are already worth somewhere in the region of 700-1000.

It does seem the increase in spot isnt really being factored in properly yet on here. When spot was  at £18, it'll cost you £22-25 for a brit and other major coins. Spot at 22.50 and a coin will still cost £23-25

I think maybe £10/20 upturn, that will be In reaction to the smack down Friday, Isreal done something, iran reacted but knowing it wouldn’t do any damage.     Ball in Isreal court if they do nothing will be ok, if the retaliate skys the limit.     America normally in charge when comes to wars but this time Isreal just do what they like. America 100% backing Isreal at moment but they were with Ukraine at the start until it was hitting them in the pocket.     Isreal got people talking about Iran now rather than the famine and destruction of Gaza
