Its over folks. Time to swap all that worthless metal back into regulated fiat where banks will look after your money and keep you safe from conspiracy theorists telling you to gamble with gimmicks outside the official monetary system. If gold was so good, the BBC and government would be recommending it through their officially regulated media channels. The don't do so because they know better than we do about economics. We ran away from our parents, now it's time to run back and never leave their bosom again.

Just received this 5oz silver Zodiac coin direct from the Perth Mint.
Very straight forward ordering and amazing quality.
Only slight problem is the FedEx delivery guy forgot to charge me the import duty.
Not sure what to do about the 20% import duty shall I send it direct to Jeremy Hunt at number 11?

Not something I intended collecting but here I am. 😂

Finally managed to pick this one up from the post office today - they are a lot more choosy with leaving parcels on the doorstep than they used to be (which is probably just as well…). A cracking 20 oz Scottsdale kitkat bar, courtesy of @Tn21 - thank you 🙏 

I braved hill and dale to get this weekend's gold n' silver hoard. I fought pirates off the coast of Africa and slayed dragons from the depths of middle Earth. Nope. Internet. 🤗 In the modern world all I had to do was wait for the postman but I did lose a slipper on the way so there was an element of some danger getting this weekend's treasure haul.
A shiny silver n' gold Christmas tree. At the base we have Queenie, gone but not forgotten coz she made for a far prettier coin than Charlie ever will, followed by our reining Monarch, x 2.
And at the top of the tree we have the ubiquitous half sovereign, shining like a pretty little candle adding wealth and beauty to any stack, no matter how small.

With circa £1,900/oz looking like the new level for gold to only climb from, does this not mean that the once coveted 1:40 gold to silver ratio is a thing of the past?
If May acts like April, we'll be into £2,000/oz territory... Imagine explaining to yourself at Christmas 2023 that you'd pay £500 for a bullion Sovereign not long after Easter.
