The postcode in their registered business address ends with 'HA1 1RA' but in the eBay postal address it was 'HA1 1BH'.
Google maps takes you to the same location, unless solely the postcodes are searched.
They didn't use the 'Charterhouse Accountants' company name as part of their eBay delivery address, it was simply addressed to a (likely fake name) 'Ani Alfred'.
However, the postman's proof of delivery photo, clearly shows a desk with a piece of unopened mail to 'Charterhouse Accountants' written on it.

Perhaps, but there can be problems on all platforms, and I don't feel comfortable sending bullion without being paid first.
Members here will use the  excuse that I don't have enough history (even though I've sold 2 or 3 pieces here).
Also, nobody here will pay as much as eBayers for bullion, so it's good until it isn't 😂

Another great eBay experience (luckily not being a victim of fraud), but instead buying from id: verified_gold_bullion
Prior to bidding on his 'collection only' auction, he seemed like a reasonable chap, and said he'd be happy to post as I have good feedback and showed him my sales history.
So I bid and won a 22ct 40.4g gold rope chain for £2250.
Unfortunately he couldn't send an invoice to cover postage on the 'collection only' listing.
So I gave him my WPP number (I planned to send a quick bank transfer to cover p+p), however it ended up being simpler for both to just cancel/refund the order.
He sent me a duplicate BIN listing with the added postage cost.
Anyway, it's around midnight and i commit to buy the BIN listing, and I was going to pay first thing in the morning.
I wake up about 9:30am to some WPP messages sent at 6:00-6:10am, asking to let him know when I've made payment for the listing.
I go onto my eBay and low and behold, the order with postage that I placed just last night, had been cancelled at 7:16am, and relisted for more at £2750.
What a complete turd, rant over.

I think you can still place a claim for expenses as it can be considered money owed. The main thing is you were refunded by eBay although the culprit(s) got away scot free. I'm just pleased you were reimbursed that's the main thing.

Well, the problem is I can't proceed with the money claim if I'm not owed anything, as my eBay balance is no longer in the red.
However, I do find it very odd that none of their staff have written back or phoned me, so the "dodgy ex employee" hypothesis seems less and less likely from my pov.

Hello guys I hope that you're well,
I'd just like to inform you that Charterhouse Accountants Ltd (charter-house.net) are currently trying to scam me, after buying a 1 Oz Gold Buffalo on eBay for £1725 delivered.
The eBay user ID used to place the purchase is: and-774142
So those of you who trade on there, will want to block this asap (assuming it's still active).
Five days after receiving the coin, they bypassed eBay and filed a 'transaction not recognised' dispute with their bank.
Once I uploaded proof of dispatch/delivery images to the eBay dispute that automatically opened and put my account in a deficit, I was notified that they'd changed their dispute to 'item not received'.
The 1 Oz Gold Buffalo was delivered to Charterhouse Accounts Ltd address, College Road, Harrow.
I even sent a polite email to their associate director querying this chargeback four days ago, and I phoned their firm last week but have not received any form of correspondence since.

    Best,
    Al

The small claims court will help solve the matter for you as the company in question will have to answer satisfactorily  through an internal audit to establish how this happened. Whether the actions of a single employee or perhaps someone higher up, I wouldn't be at all surprised. I've heard of some very wealthy people who turned out to be the biggest scammers going, a penny here, a penny there, a duck here, a dive there, and all of a sudden it's a Bentley on the driveway subsidised by a whole lot of shady dealings. Arthur Daley is alive and kicking, all over the country lol.
Good luck. You have plenty of legal recourse to get this sorted out. Try not to be too stressed and look after your well being.
