Howming reacted to apachebleu in Reduced Centenario 50 peso at below spot 1825 (37.5g pure gold) would consider trade for sovs
Hey all, I have a nice 50 peso here that needs to find a new home (truth be told I overspent when some queens beasts came up for sale recently and i dont like the taste of dog food). For those who don't know this is a 90% pure gold coin which contains 37.5g of fine gold. I don't know what the other 10% is however I am actually throwing it in for free - could be copper, could be diamonds, I haven't checked and I make no guarantees.
Price is currently £1825 with free special delivery and the bonus 10% weight of something on top of the 37.5g of gold. I would consider trade for soverigns or half soverigns, not too fussed about years so open to offers
It has a ding in it, it's probably been dropped somewhere in its life and it has the expected patina of a coin that's lived free of the indignity of a plastic box.
This Is a cracking piece if you want something you can handle without worrying about tarnishing.
With the upcoming release of John wick 4 you can use this large, exotic looking piece of gold to indulge your (or your wifes) assassin fantasies or pretend to your kids that you are in fact just like John Wick, or at least a slightly older, balder and lamer version.
Better than all this however I'm selling at spot (which is currently as low as its been in a long time....honest, no need to check that fact) and I'll include free rmsd.
Just to be clear I work weird hours and may be slow to get back to you, bear with me.
So go on grab a bargain before we get to 2 grand an ounce and you can't afford this which may well be this time next week.

Due to age and ill health I have now disposed of all of my collection and accessories through the Forum, and I should like to thank all the members for their help, advice (and purchases)
In particular I thank everyone with whom I have dealt for their friendliness and courtesy in all my dealings.
Kind regards to all - I am still in the market for a Kilo silver coin for my Great granddaughter if there are any bargains about!

Howming reacted to Lyrinn in Why silver price is going down when we have such inflation?
My two-pence (warning, verbose). Supply and demand.
1) Yes, inflation is going up, so, people who have circa 50oz or less and are more "silver is interesting" or "I only keep a small float for a rainy day" and are probably exiting the market - i.e. selling. Pool of buyers is smaller.
2) The pool is getting smaller. Again, inflation, but, also, a lot more people have been buying silver/gold/metals over the last two-to-three years and are now "maxed out". Pool of buyers is smaller.
3) Some of those people who are "maxed out" are now sitting on their stack because they need the prices to rise again before buying. Pool of buyers is smaller.
4) For your 1% of stacks (circa 250oz of silver) this level of investment has filled the gap in their portfolio, so they no longer need to buy. Pool of buyers is smaller.
5) For those in the over 500oz of silver band (when 50oz of silver is 1oz gold for the sake of argument) this band are longer term stackers, so, while they will buy, with inflation up, they will not be able to buy as much "float". Pool of buyers is smaller.
6) For your "whales" or "big fish" (over 1000oz of silver), these veterans are likely trying to figure out how to get their stacks shifted or wound down. Pool of buyers is smaller.
7) Millennials (guilty by association) don't value "cash" as much, so have the naïve belief that their plastic card is all they need. Gen Z can't afford even basic things, so, forget that group too. Pool of buyers is smaller.
8) I think, generally, people are starting to withdraw into themselves and buckle down. House prices are starting to cool down, people aren't going abroad as much; heating your home is meant to be 50% more expensive in a few months time, so people are building war chests. Pool of buyers is smaller.
Smaller pool of buyers, market slows down.
Also, the Sales threads on TSF seem a bit thin on the ground over the past few months - compared to 2021 where it was absolutely insane. This tells me that people are preferring to stick to their guns for now. There's a lot of silver at circa £23/Oz at the moment, and it's struggling to shift.

Howming reacted to stefffana in The most beautiful kilo bar in the world - Angel's Silver
Hi, everyone!
I am happy and I want to share my happiness with TSF. Why? Because you are my best friends I ever had. Before TSF, I have been a lone wolf and now I am part from a pack.
I want to grow a gold and silver stack for my little granddaughter until she will be 18 years. Now, she is only seven months. My little angel....
With her gold stack was very easy to decide: every month I will add one tenth of oz, in a beautiful shape. But the decision about her silver stack was very difficult to take until two months ago, when @BackyardBullion sold to me two raw pieces of pure silver at a very good price, on behalf of another TSF member..
That was the moment when in my mind started an idea to make every year a kilo bar for my little angel.... Angel's Silver...... Angel's Silver.....!!!! @SilverAngel!!!!!!! One of TSF official sponsors....
I have asked them nicely if they can make the most beautiful kilo bar in the world for my angel. @SilverAngel, Jan and Roy, accepted the challenge on 21st of June.
When they told me yesterday that the first kilo bar has arrived from Assay Office and they sent me few pictures, I have started crying... An old man crying of happiness...
Look what Jan and Roy - Silver Angel have done for my granddaughter!
I can not thank them enough, my words are not enough to express my gratitude...
I want only to share with all of you my happiness and to beg them to continue their artistic hard work and start a series of silver bars named Angel's Silver.
I can bet that all these bars will be highly collectible in the future.
I will use now two pictures made by @BackyardBullion with the raw metal he sold me and six pictures made by @SilverAngel.
I do apologise for using their intellectual property. I will add more pictures after the beauty will be in my hand.
Feel free, please, to comment on here your opinions about the most beautiful silver kilo bar in the world.
I'd like if possible, Jan and Roy to add more content to this story, eventually some videos/pictures with various steps of creation. They are in fact the heroes of my story!🤗
Thank you for looking!
Kindest regards,
Stefan.
P.S.: The first 18 numbers from kilo bars series are reserved by me for my little angel.🤗
