Coin weight 31.47grams @ .925 silver is equal to 29.11grams of pure Silver or .999 👍

It has bounced off $30 a few times now.  I reckon it will break that after the election or when the Equities crash whichever is soonest.  The dollar still looks to be in a downward trend.

Bugger that. I want it to get to £50 +, so I can flog off my hoard, stop obsessing about prices going up and down and live a normal life. 😜

I totally agree that we see a pull back... I don't think it will be like 2000 as we are in times that I have never seen before where economics have fundamentally changed

Well this is looking good, silver went to £22.74 0100 this morning. I couldn't go to bed I was fixed to the screen lol but even better than that rise is the price now £21.26.  It is Friday and there is a lot of profit taking taking  by the impatient grabbing the little profits they have made.  The big pull back all the pundits have been forecasting for two weeks now is happening now IMO this is it and it is so small.   This is fantastic and confirms my information that 4 big shots are deep in it up to their butts in heavy shorts that are going to take months to wind down.  Hell of a lot of pressure to push up, Monday should be very good.  Have a good weekend everybody and stay safe 😉

I actually have some respect for Hulbert, who weighs in with his piece:
    https://www.marketwatch.com/story/gold-is-a-foolish-place-to-put-your-money-right-now-if-you-check-the-facts-2020-08-07?siteid=bigcharts&dist=bigcharts

The underpinning of his argument is wrong though. He assumes that there is no reason for gold's real purchasing power to increase over time. But that is a naive assumption. Gold is good money, and good money benefits from increased economic prosperity in seeing its real purchasing power appreciate by 1-2% a year.
You don't need to own the stock of companies to benefit from the good things that companies do for us.   You just need to own good money which appreciates in real value as the beneficiary of ongoing productivity increases.

Although the gains have been incredible so far, I still don’t think we have even hit the real accelerator yet. I see people saying the mainstream are jumping on board now but outside of our well informed bubble I see no evidence for that.

Watch the news at ten and none of them mention PMs at all. It’s always oil and stocks they talk about. I won’t believe we are in a bubble until I start hearing it on the mainstream prime time news and in major newspaper columns. Only when everyone is talking about it is it a bubble. That’s my signal to move.

I have this strange feeling it's going to shoot it's self in the foot and drop so quickly at some point! I expect it'll peter out then drop, then stabilise for a little while until it makes a move again.
Looks like it's being seriously overbought at the moment.

I think need a lie down I have never seen the pace of this, I am just wondering  what it's going to be like if a financial  crash happens. Absolutely unprecedented.... I have to keep touching  myself not only for pleasure but to make sure I'm not dreaming!!!! Although  maloney states triple digit silver he could be right.

I have to remind myself im one half collector and one half stasher and one half trader...yes i know...but sometimes i get caught out between them, trading is ok, stacking has to sell wgen high and collector has to hold for the kids...hope others are only one of the collectors or stashers...cos its aweful talking returns to collectors who just want low prices and stasherswho want massive fluctuations to make money off.

But it did that at $24...dropped back, took a breather then took off again, while the dollars in freefall it cant stop rising.

I would be shocked if we don't have a good year left of rising PM prices, maybe 2 or 3
I'm annoyed at myself because I knew a silver etf is a winner, I've been saying it for a while yet despite that I haven't fully committed and I've got a lot of investment currency that should be working for me just sitting on the sidelines
I keep expecting a decent pullback and then dillydallying while the price goes up another 15%+, I did top up at lower $23 but not nearly enough, I was thinking about $21-22 whilst it's now shot up to close to $28
It's time to stop thinking if only and actually commit to an investment properly
We're due a pullback, maybe gold will hit $2100 first and silver $30 who knows, but on that pullback I will putting in a substantial amount and in a years time I will be thinking "great move" and not "if only"

In all likelihood we are going to be looking at paying £30 an Oz under current prices.

I think the good news is, I believe, a long way off the peek. Internationally there are no reasons I can see to interrupt this rally.

No regrets selling the bars at all, you cant time the markets.
I set myself targets and goals and stick to the plan, served me well to date enabling me to pay off my current house early and buy my next one for cash.  Still made 40% on what I sold and  have around 100oz gold left + a few thousand ozs of silver

Also the current short period of stamp duty/LTT holiday offsets some of the differential in the mid and longer term.

I agree @Oldun. However the amount of 'friends' who have shoved into my face the amount they earn compared to me, without comprehending that they are personally responsible for investing some of that higher pay for there future when they retire is astounding.
They are the same people who will complain about my pension.
I made the choice to accept lower wages on the basis I would have a good pension scheme.
I'm aware that not everyone has had the luxury of being able to make that choice, it just annoys me when those who had the choice and the money to invest in there future havent bothered.
Anyhow better get back on topic!

Breached 26 briefly, but agree a pullback to 25 and some sideways action would be good.

Same thing happened when it breached the £18 mark. I think we will see another push again once more stimulus announcements come. Everyone seems to be waiting for 29th July to see if lift off in price commences.
