  1. Should prices be moving at all over the weekend?
  2. Hello, just letting you know that I've bought the QB so won't be able to buy your brit. Will probably be April/May before I'll have the funds for anything else.
  3. I wish I could remember where I saw it. Possibly Mike Maloney. What they said was there would be a serious dip (£800 per oz) in the the price of gold over a 2 year period and then over the next 20 years it would/could go as high as 5k per oz British. I'll keep looking to see if I can find the source and post it if I do.
  4. Some people have been suggesting gold prices could drop by 50% over the next two years. This raises a problem for novices like me. With very limited funds do I wait for the bubble to burst, with the added risk that the currency will go boobies skyward first or just bite the bullet and buy when I have the available funds. After 1 more purchase I will have 90% of my savings in PM's.
  5. Will do. I'll also let you know if I get the QB.
  6. I might be interested. I've sent a PM to another SF member about a gold QB. If they don't get back to me within a few days I'll PM them again to let them know I'm buying something else. Obviously if you get rid of it fantastic but if not I may take it off your hands. Will get back to you on Friday.
  7. Is it white gold. The picture looks silver.
  8. I'm not sure if you've managed to get yourself a half sov yet but if not here is a price list from goldprice. Not sure the price guarantees they'll be in stock. http://goldprice.eu5.net/# Hope this helps.
  9. And another https://www.bullionbypost.co.uk/gold-coins/half-sovereign/2020-gold-half-sovereign/
  10. Can someone also tell me how to start my own question thread instead of adding to (highjacking) someone elses.
  11. Can someone in the know tell me if there's a way to get around paying the VAT on silver (legally). I found out recently that if you buy over $1500 worth of silver in the US then their version of VAT is voided. Does anything like that exist here in the UK.
  12. What is happening with gold prices right now. I started collecting in June because I had managed to save during lockdown and had heard that gold prices were going to soar. I'm buying for the long haul so this dip isn't worrying me at the moment but how long is this likely to last and should I be worried about my investments. I'm 3k in on bullion and proof coins and coin sets.
