The Great Old One: Cthulhu

Two lovely Maundy Sets and a part Set arrived today- more to follow this week. 
Maundy Money alongside the Sovereign are the only Milled British coins that have endured for the last 200 years or so and continue to be issued today; albeit the Sovereign has missed several years.
Some interesting nuances with these year dates- the 1817 Pistrucci designed George III coin bears the date on the Obverse whereas, a standard for Mandy was established from 1822 in terms of size & weight.  Interestingly, you can see on the 1822 3d coin, the Mint used the same punch they used on the Portrait of the 2d.  Previous to 1822, Maundy Money was made up of circulation coinage.  
The 1822 George IV Reverse designed by Jean Baptiste Merlen has endured to date, excepting one change to the design of the Crown of the Reverse, the change made in 1888 by William Wyon.

This is my latest coin a 1941 dated, Australian Florin (2 Shillings), made from .925 silver, this coin featuring George VI was minted every year from 1938 to 1945, after 1945 the coins were made from only .500 silver, the coins were made mainly at the Melbourne Mint with a few being made in the USA by the San Francisco Mint during the war years.
The coin featured a low relief portrait of George VI on the obverse and coat of arms with a Kangaroo and Emu on the reverse. 
1941 was one of the slightly lower mintage years with 7,614,000 made, not an easy coin to find in unc/au condition most likely due to their softness being of Sterling .925 silver, this one has quite a few bag marks when magnified despite having all its mint lustre.

I also got an old italian 10 Lira coin from 1863 showing King Vittorio Emanuele II. It is made from .900 Gold and weighs 3.3358g according to the auction catalog, 3.2258g according to Numista (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces18756.html) and 3.20g according to my scales.

And i got a third coin that I won't show you as it isn't the coin I was supposed to get. It is a different year and I can't find the coin in the auction at all. I'll wait and see what the auction house will say.
But I got some gold which I'm not unhappy with.

Just the 2010 coins now remaining to be found.

I got a nice little bar from @BackyardBullion, nothing I'd usually buy because of the price. But a) I can support the content provided by BYB on YT with that and b) it's really nice to look at.
And it is a great looking bar once again. But that doesn't help the bar... it will go in a dark place with it's brother from last year, only to be looked at from time to time to enjoy them
