  1. When completed, this has to be the most popular auction ever on TSF ! 😁 28.25
  2. Hello! There are plenty of likeminded collectors and stackers on here to discuss anything about precious metals. Welcome to the forum.
  3. Welcome to the forum and happy stacking. 🤗
  4. Welcome to the forum. The best place to buy silver online is here. Check on the old sales threads of sold items and you'll see why.
  5. Hello! Welcome to the forum. Where have you been ? We've been waiting for you to join the party ! 🤗
  6. Welcome to the forum. Most here will suggest gold sovereigns when it comes to getting the most bang for your buck. Just out of interest, gold went up by about £260 per oz since you first joined the forum. Anyway, enjoy your journey into the world of precious metals. 🤗
  7. It's very strange that FK has never had its gold stock audited since 1953. I wonder why that is ! Some years ago, I heard some 400oz gold bars shipped from US to Hong Kong and in the process of assaying a gold bar, it broke the drill bit. The "gold" bar was filled with tungsten and it broke the drill. The article below briefly mentions it, along with some dodgy 1kg tungsten filled gold bar. https://www.lewrockwell.com/2012/03/robert-wenzel/gold-bar-discovered-filled-with-tungsten/
  8. Without sounding too complicated, I think you could simply sell any nice, useable silver cutlery and use the proceeds to purchase .999 fine silver.
  9. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm actually quite please that the price of gold has fallen back. 😅
  10. When I saw the first two photos, I immediately said "aEF" because there are minor wear on both sides of the coin, noticeablely on the hair and the dress. Then the 3rd and 4th photos shows finer details and makes me want to go with "EF". But I would still go with "aEF", final answer ! 🤗
  11. Some people have healthy appetite for debt and some people avoid it if at all possible. I'm in the latter camp. Having a mortgage (debt) felt like having a millstone around my neck some years ago. I paid it off as quickly as I could. I have gotten to a point where I don't use a credit card unless I absolutely have to. I like to reduce my support to the debt-based fiat ponzi monetary system where those in power are profiting handsomely from the borrowers. I guess it's just me. When it comes to debt, I'm often mindful of the following proverb : "The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender " - Proverbs 22:7 Gold is now GBP1588 (USD1928). Not unexpected when we start seeing a house of cards falling.
  12. Will those electrical wires become precious metals very soon ?! 😅
  13. If you don't have to have the RM screw cap type then they are plenty of other capsules (22mm) available on feebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=22mm+coin+capsules&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=gold+sovereign+capsules&_osacat=0&_oac=1
