There is no one rule fits all. Everyone has to make their own chose of who they do any deals with.  My rule is simple give everyone a chance and see how they communicate via PM when trying to do a deal.  Someone who buys and sells is more likely to want to stick around and less likely to pull a scam. One scam pulled and that person would lose a good platform to buy good items and to sale in the future.  Another red warning is be careful of members who only sell and never interact or buy.  (Not including Business )
One rule I do have on this forum and in the real world. I never deal with arrogant P****s who think they are so much better then others.

I tried to buy some silver from them around  a week ago and there CS said they don't sell Silver to other countries in the  EU or UK and only sell within Germany due to a Rule change. It wasn't a option to send to a German Post Box either but they will sell Gold. I think they make some of the rule's up Ad-hoc as I use Coininvest and Auragentum quite regularly and they are both German companies.

HMRC has launched a new 'one-to-many' letter campaign from the week commencing 16th January.
It is expected that thousands of letters will be sent out to individuals who have earned a certain amount of money from selling items or services online.
The first letter is aimed at those who have sold items or services through online marketplaces, such as eBay or Etsy.
HMRC has stated that they only intend to contact those whom they believe have earned more than £12,570 from their online sales.
However, the exact time period that these earnings were generated is not specified in the letter.
In addition, HMRC will only be able to contact individuals whom they have correctly identified, which may prove to be challenging due to people not always operating under their full given name, or not providing all the necessary information when registering on a marketplace or platform.
The nudge letters state that HMRC believes the individual has not declared all or some of their online income, and ask them to make a disclosure using the digital disclosure service (DDS) if this is the case. It is important to note that the gross sales figure provided by HMRC does not necessarily equate to taxable income.

Just finished watching the fourth part.
Sanitised of course (Netflix) but the fourth part I found to be the best, showing how even the 'resolution' made parasites even richer at the expense of genuine victims.
Of course nobody really knew anything, they were all clueless, innocent bystanders - including the banks, trustees and regulatory representatives.
No mention of bribing either - just cunning fraud from a single man.  And luck..

As well as the fact that the Swiss have the natural defence of the Alps and still has Conscription of its population. Over 75 percent of Swiss have a weapon of some sort which could mean Millions of people having an ability to kill you if you invaded their country.  As you said the amount of Dirt they have on foreign leaders and their hidden money would negate any chance of an invasion is probably the biggest deterrent. Bullion Vault is allocated isn't it?

I was keeping it as a generalisation. It's just how I see it. A lot of hype around PMs and Silver globally, an awakening of sorts.

However, as you've mentioned it. I use BullionVault for some PM. However I am aware that there is a risk. In an SHTF scenario, there is nothing stopping the Swiss govt. from confiscating all the gold and silver held in country, the US has done it with gold in the past. So to quote a phrase that is oft mentioned by Bix Weir: "If you don't hold it, you don't own it!"

I'd like to think that Switzerland is about the safest place outside of your own home to hold PMs, seeing as they managed to remain unscathed in 2 world wars. I assume that's partly to do with them holding the elites wealth, or a vast amount of it.

But I could be talking complete b*llocks on that. Just my 2 pence worth.

This is a question to do two things, first just make sure nothing prohibited is being posted and second so that PO staff can upsell a different and more expensive service to you.
If you feel compelled to be honest then say silver coin but just saying metal medallions or metal tokens. It has no bearing on the insurance cover.
As mentioned above only Special Delivery covers precious metals.

John79 reacted to ChrisSilver in ⚠️ Update on the work ⚠️
Firstly apologies for the extended downtime. It was much longer than expected as the forum has grown significantly in size recently.

The work was taking too long, and as we are now in a position to be able to put the forum back online we have gone ahead and put the forum online again. Please note that there is still work going on in the background, and we will need to take the forum off line to finish the work (which we estimate will be sometime Sunday night but which should only last a few hours)

You may also notice a 500 error issue again, if this happens we will restart the MySQL database. We currently believe that the spot price bar application is overloading the database. When we do the final move of files (likely will be sometime this Sunday night) we will not install the spot price bar application. We will be installing the spot price application on a separate test sever to see if that is indeed the cause of the 500 error issues, and also speaking with the developer of that particular application.

Apologies in advance for the planned downtime this Sunday 9th May 2021, but the majority of the work should hopefully be behind us.

Dealers have ulterior motives, they don't want to sell you silver today at $25/oz when tomorrow they can sell at $30 and also they want hysteria so saying there is a shortage plays into their hands. Don't trust dealers.
I bet there had been a spike in demand, but the hysteria plays into their hands.
Also, they will have to restock and they don't want to sell at $25 tonight and then call their supplier tomorrow morning to be charged $35 to get new stock.
