I bought some of the 20 francs from Hattongardens. Great price.
Now to try and get them to delivery to Ireland. They wouldnt accept my card, had to choose bank transfer.

money is leaving gold to go back into equities, good job figures on Friday and no negative news to bring the market down, suggests Gold may continue to fall down next few weeks.  I think it will easily hit 1.2k then Q4 when the real unemployment comes to light will go up again

Isnt psychology in markets a crazy thing. People piling back into stock markets as it approaches all time highs when economies are at all time lows.
Meanwhile, buyers of gold are slowing down because prices are down. People much prefer to buy when prices are high.

I think maybe the point with these is that they are spot or under spot price to buy depending on the time of day but they are a pretty, nice quality proof coin so pleasant to look at. You'll always get spot price or slightly under for them so if spot is higher in fiat debt notes when you want to sell than it is now you're 'quids in'. 

As discussed previously, the confusion over the weight (on the website) has not done any favours for this coin.
I bought one (at risk) initially, but now that it is confirmed 1/4 toz, I have setup Revolut and will (hopefully) buy many more; less concerned about the proof / resale value, as opposed to being a source of spot price gold.  

With a sovereign you can sell on instantly.
I think you'll have to sit on this for a while unless gold shoots up or you price them right.

Yea as above, that's down to how you pay. I used a card that specifically offers no fees for paying in other currencies so basically paid the perfect exchange rate. If you don't have a card like that then check carefully what fees are associated with foreign payments as it may be shocking. You can always sign up for a free account with one of the above to avoid fees.
Postage of €11 sounds about right, depends how many you order.
