  1. Thanks. Got other coins as well, 20 francs, ducats, krugerrands..So scale and calliper would be most versatility for the price
  2. Could not find, or poorly looking I am looking for a scale for gold/silver coins. Ideally matched with a calliper (the one I got in my workshop is good for big jobs, not coins..). Any brand recommendations, places to buy? Something that won't break a bank. Smallest coins I would probably test wold be 1/2 sovs and 1/10 oz gold coins
  3. Just bought a tube af philharmonics for about £20.5 from the dealer inc free delivery. Many EU dealers are selling for about 23€/oz. My question is, why in UK we have to pay a lot more than in EU for same stuff.. New britannias can buy abroad for about £21.50 each, not only when buy masterbox.. Aren't they made in UK? I don't mind keep some bullion with my family abroad, at least don't keep all the eggs in one basket
  4. I wonder how the price will behave on Monday/next week/s after Powell's message they need to go back to printers, and just after 2 banks in US has shut down. Should we see again an avalanche of liquidations, where all assets will be on sell to save the leveraged positions, or like crypto - stay calm In theory, we should not go down much. The value from before 2020 and now is about the same if you take into account the inflation. Can also check GSR to see how it behave to safe gold. I just done a small buy, and probably will continue in coming days/weeks. If it crash, it may a be a short time to buy before it rocket back up. Ok, silver is more industrial metal, but when we need to stop using normal cars, then silver will be in need. At least, when the countries will invest trillions in infrastructure to send power, and double the power plants so we could charge our electric vehicles..
  5. Just ordered some bulion , but to deliver to family in EU. Prices in UK are far overpriced.. How is that even Brittanias are cheaper elsewhere than in UK? In Poland VAT is 23%, don't know whether they apply a full tax or just on margin.. But even French, Belgium dealers have far better prices.. How is that?
  6. What do you think will be the reaction of gold price when FED finally rise the interest rates? They will have to, with this inflation. Just a rumor of rising them caused a big dip on s&p500, crypto. So that show that when they rise interest rates the stock market and crypto will dip. What assumptions do you have about gold price then? Down as well, and money flow to 10y US bonds?
  7. I plan to visit my family this year, and I know I can buy there a bit cheaper. Not planning to get a wholesale amount, but just something for my stack. If I travel by car, I would not be bother, just packed up loose coins between pants in the bags, normally car is packed up when travel 1k miles.. But after travel to Poland twice by car, with kids, I rather pay twice the price for the plane..
  8. Hope someone can advise. Are there any restrictions/tax on silver bullion coins if I bring them privately from UE? Either by car on plane? Does it need to be declared? Not much, max a few tubs of 1OZ's
  9. Probably going off top, but how safe is Bullion Vault? it is a private company. If for any reason it will get bust, are their customers are still owners of their assets? We are talking about holding PM there for decades, if it comes to treating it as pension pot. I love every silver and hold coin I have (not many, far too little 😅), but with vat and high premium on silver, it's something that tells me something is not righ.. I know there are private vaults/ duty free storages, where you can inspect yourself.. But minimum to store are big bars.. That's a different level
  10. I don't invest in PM to.make money on it. I am aware that it normally don't bring profit, it is a store of value. So I buy from time to time some bullion (silver and gold). With no intention to sell any soon. More like my retirement pot, or a tiny top up. I try to diversify money I manage to earn. Not much, as I don't call myself a wealthy person. But keeping money in a cupboard is purely a loss, it's better just to spend it on holidays than save... Btw, just looking for options apart of having phisicall bullion at home. Inoniw there is a bulliob vault, some dealers offer to keep PM in vaults in Switzerland.. It is not a paper PM, but how safe it is? Some ETFs are backed by physical metal, and are threated as safe. Just looking to safely locate an equivalent of tub of silver every few months , buying at lowest premium.. That will be safe for years and easy to sell
  11. I'd like to ask about your predictions about siler price if we get another bunch of restrictions, and economy will be scared. I checked the charts of silver price during 2020. When lockdowns started, silver plummet (I believe it was a liquidation on futures trading, and demand of having cash in uncertain time). After a short while, prices gone up a lot (stimuluses). Gold in other hand didn't marked such a dip. Just try to predict what can happen with precision metas pices when government will start messing ip again.
  12. Anyone used coinvest recently? Looking for a tube of silver, that are difficult to get in UK (at least in a good price). Are there any brokarege cost for orders under 1000 euro/gbp? And what are roughly shipping costs - that shows only at the end of purchase process..
  13. Thanks guys. I did invested a bit in crypto, and looking to hedge some profit in physical metal. Apart I love they look, it is something you can have in hand, and will not "evaporate". Looking to do so in near future
  14. Not sure if right place, please move if wrong. I want to buy some more sovereigns/ 1 oz coins. Want to do it directly for crypto. Is there any dealer in UK that accept crypto? I know chards is doing something with the bitcoin, but not seen if can trade btc for metals. European mint wss doing it as well, but now outside the EU.. So no more vat fre.. I know some members accept it as well on trade forum here. Been buying here before, but only for bank transfer. Any advise would be appreciated.
