There's no past, there's no future.
    There's only ever now o'clock
There's still gold to buy and gold to sell. Margin to be made, deals to be done.
The gold is still gold and didn't change when sovs were £200 the medium of exchange in between is what has changed
If you see multi trillion debts across every western countries being paid off or getting smaller any time soon sell your shiny.
If not, HODL your gold and enjoy the scenery along the gold journey as we keep moving to higher ground and to better golden views

I know I shouldn't but I've been watching Youtube again and if all of these American demagogues forecasting the destruction of fiat currency turn out to be right, how are we going to value Gold and Silver? I would like to announce the formation of the Dalriada Precious Metal Exchange: opening at 20 Turnips for 1 ozt fine Silver and a Friesian cow for 1 ozt fine gold. Of course there will have to be side markets for equivalence, eg. 2 Swedes to the Turnip; 2 Longhorn to the Friesian etc. Everybody welcome - fees apply. According to these American chaps I could be trading by next week. Anybody in? For a limited time only you can join the Exchange for the introductory offer of just one 1 ozt Gold Britannia. This offer comes with a 30 day cooling off period to let you try and find me. Your statutory rights are not affected . . . in Bolivia. Join now to avoid the Christmas rush!

I think what @Fenlander1 may be getting at(I may be totally wrong)😁 is that recently, there seems to have been an increase in members who are able to sell seemingly limitless amounts of silver at, what seems to me, a very low premium. Thus making it virtually impossible for the everyday stacker to turn over a few oz here and there, without having to sell at a loss.

    Hi All 👋
Something very, very rare (I really am not talking this up) for the Numismatic collectors out there.
Finding just one of these is hard enough. Finding the entire full set, with original cases and COA's is literally unheard of.
Numista rarity rating is 100. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/exonumia403397.html
    Mint - Numismatica Italiana
I will post first to any active member on the site who has more that 75 positive feedback and can have a gold/platinum member vouch for them. I will use DHL express, which is usually 24/48 hours, fully tracked delivery. I am happy to take the risk and undervalue them for VAT purposes (if there is any to pay). Alternatively I can give them to my brother who is visiting me in 3/4 weeks time, and he can take them back to the UK and you can meet him in London.
Price - £4350.00 including DHL express. Obviously if you're in the EU there's no taxes to pay.
Any questions please ask and thanks for looking

Beautiful design, one to tuck away as per all jubilee coins, was easily a 3.2k+ coin, and in my opinion under valued in this market. Selling at retail plus grading fee, 2800 plus post. Full box and coa and even the original royal mint brown outer box. (Look at that amazing matte luster)

This was the first time that Royal Mint used Pistrucci’s original masterpiece with the full inscription on a Sovereign since 1820.
Struck to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Benedetto Pistrucci Sovereign of 1817 and based on the original design of 1817 with the plumed helmet, St George and dragon right, surrounded by the Order of the Garter with a buckle, HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE.
Reverse inscription translates as 'Evil be to he that evil thinks'.

Part of this is the extensive marketing via social media & similar that Bitcoin has, Bitcoin fits in with the online way people run their lives now and also it is more granular / instant than gold at lower values. Bitcoin is also a lot more volatile and in effect you own something which has nothing to back its value unlike government bonds or a share in a company.

A large selection of items, for the most part commemorative .925 proof crowns in box with COA. Please see photos and look closely or I can provide details and pictures on specific coins you are interested in.
Asking a flat 10% over spot (62p per gram on .925) on individual coins or if you want a bargain, take the whole lot for spot with post included. Plenty to be made on resale.

These are individually priced. Wonderful condition.
    1990 5p proof pair at £10
    1988 proof £1 at £12
    1995 Guernsey Queen Mother £1 at £10

    Hi All
I have been thinking about the price of gold in the context of the following that has happened this year:
    - Massive flows out of gold backed ETF’s in 2024
    - Massive rise of BTC price since Jan 24
    - Both of the above after Bitcoin ETF’s were made available - and making BTC more liquid to a wider group of “investors”
Essentially a lot of ETF holders are liquidating their positions.  Is this money heading into BTC ETF’s?

At least two things could be happening:
    - Investors want physical gold and are therefore ditching ETF’s and buying physical
    - Investors are selling out of Gold ETF’s and into BTC ETF’s to ride the BTC price rises.
There are of course other factors, but for me at least, I cannot see why Gold lags BTC in either physical form or ETF’s in terms of price rises.
Seasoned investors are predicting BTC will hit USD300k before long.
But why? BTC in an ETF is not usable as currency it’s just a bet.
So what is going on with the prices of Gold and BTC and why the disparity?
I doubt central banks are buying BTC - they want gold as a “hard” asset.
    Thoughts?

My biggest worry is the quality control issues especially with proof coins but also the milk spotting on silver Brit’s. I’ve stopped buying silver RMint bullion completely now. Also generally poor customer service.

With the over pricing of these ‘historic sets’ they are now running the risk of becoming just like the mints selling coins out of magazine ads or unscrupulous 2nd hand car salesmen. The customers may be satisfied.. but that’s because they don’t yet know they are being ripped off.
The sets are well presented and can been seen as nice collectors pieces.. the issue is in the huge premium and when does this turn from fair premium to exploitation of the unwary. This would be poor for any company… but the fact that the Royal Mint is owned by HMT and literally lives and breathes of the history off the institution, the monarchy and indirectly the country. .. it’s humiliating for all involved.

The only thing that is milked more than the silver…are the Royal Mint’s customers.
