Also, the 2021 The Queen's Beasts Completer Two Ounce Silver Proof… And lastly, a touch of gold, with this unique, 1895 $5 Liberty Head Half Eagle “Love Token”.

Lovely Silver IOM Set, not a lot to not like, the classic Machin Portrait of Her Majesty, nicely frosted depictions of the national symbols of the IOM and lovely presentation. Spoilt only by the tacky banknote COA with a dodgy Portrait of the Queen. Thanks to @morezone

I actually received this yesterday. It slightly sad the the first rule of fight club gold stacking is never to talk about it, so I can't tell friends or neighbours. However, since I am excited about this, I thought I would add it here. My first ever 1oz gold coin: a QB Completer! Only bullion, but apart from some very minor scratches around the rim, whch I think are due to it rubbing against another coin in the tube, it looks perfect to me. I had been agonising about getting an ordinary Britannia, but I think this was worth the small extra cost in the grand scheme of things. 🙂

This beauty arrived yesterday…! I dont have any of the beasts themselves, though couldn’t resist owning the completer. The design is just fab. Bullion is all I could stretch to for this!

2013 Silver Proof Britannia 5-Coin Collection Although this Britannia design is not high up on everybody's list, its simplicity makes it my own personal favourite. Actual mintage 3087. The set was an extremely reasonable price and, aside from a little hazing on the 1/10th and 1/20th ozt coins, was otherwise immaculate.

Recent grading results- The silver ones! It’s been a bigger submission than normal for me so I thought I’d give a shout out to Karl 1817 - The Modern Sovereign Collector for his help getting them graded. It’s taken a while to get them posted as I had the little matter of getting married last weekend 💒🥳. I think imho the design of the year is Gary Breeze design - 5oz silver QE2 95th Birthday. Glad to see that’s come back top pop. Anyone who hasn’t seen it up close, I’d recommend you do so. It’s a real standout. As I’ve mentioned to a few friends on the site, I think the diversity Britannia is great design too, perhaps second only to Gary Breezes above. It’s a coin which given its limited mintage and being the first 2oz silver Britannia, will be a key coin in the future...so I got a few. Many of which were bought from tsf members. Thanks for that 👍. Most came back 70 with a couple of 69s. I’ve posted just one for brevity. The other pics are of the two coin Britannia silver sets - the £2 silver reverse & proof Britannias. Im looking to pick up the reverses for 2016-2020, so if anyone wishes to sell theirs please get in touch. I’d also consider a swap should that be preferable. Anyway enjoy!

Yes, she was ”aware” of the books. It’s not as if they’ve sold over 100 million copies and spawned 8 film adaptations. I too am ”aware” of the books. Maybe get someone who’s actually interested in the subject matter to design the coins? Just a thought...

Here is my 1857.... Our coins are very similar: - 8 appears to be somewhat undersized - 5 is over a 5 or a 3 - The 7 in both of our coins appears to have something going on at the top left of the 7 Best Dicker

I’ve just read the blog ‘meet the maker’ where there is a Q&A with the coin designer. She doesn’t appear too keen on the books...or at least her answer side steps the question: Q: Are you a fan of the books? A: “I was very aware of them and enjoyed learning and discovering more as part of the project.” Oh dear...

I’m told (by family) that I’m getting a metal detector for my birthday. 😬 I’d be happy with finding a post 1817 sovereign. Let alone a Henry VIII gold sovereign. But knowing my luck I’ll end up with a load of bottle tops and ring pulls, but at least I’ll get a tan if it isn’t raining. Every could.... ☁️

They could have done something quite interesting and played with perspective a bit. Quite generic if you ask me, though they are using the original illustrations. The Alice and Cheshire Cat is 9am today. The other design for Through the Looking-Glass will be released later in the year.

I'll be honest.... I was on the khazi last Friday or Saturday, probably Saturday, and I had an epiphany! I could buy a coin from the Royal Mint and sell it for 100% profit! I could then use that profit to further MY collection and MY net wealth at the expense of others. All I had to do was offer it to a collector who perhaps had to work or was engaged in any number of activities or duties that one performs at 9am. It was a revelation! So, as I don't work and am free throughout the day, I set the wheels in motion. I set my alarm for 8am. I got up at 8.10 and ordered a McMuffin, fries,hash brown and coffee. I logged into TSF, PlentyofFish, Tinder, ebay and the Royal Mint, from my bookmarked tabs. Then the tension began....the queue had started...I was 212 in the queue... The doorbell rang, it was the McD delivery! I hadn't bothered to dress seeing as the Tinder app was open, so I quickly wrapped myself in the sofa throw. I collected the breakfast, paid the boy and rushed back to my PC. 33 in the queue. Phew! I deserve this coin!! The site opened, click, click, click and my flexible friend had once again saved my life.. 2oz Proof QB Completer...Coming to a forum soon

My 2 1oz gold bullion Queens Beasts completer turned up today!

Just received this beauty the 2oz completer which is not a completer lol. I'm very pleased there are no milk spots although the screw cap was loose ffs (how hard is it to tighten a plastic cap) luckily the coin was OK. As a collector I feel gutted for you guys who have got the 10 coin set with problems, this should not be happening to a premium set grrr.

Yeah I'm jumping down that rabbit hole, a great idea with potential for some excellent (trippy) designs. I just hope they can do it justice. I will go for it anyway as one of my daughters is an Alice and the story is an old school favourite in our family. I've done my fair share of mushrooms so hopefully mine will get bigger 🍄🍄🍄
